The Wonder of Angels

       The word 'wonder' can mean a cause of astonishment or admiration, or it can mean a feeling of doubt or uncertainty. This presentation will reveal an astonishing portrayal of angels but, at the same time, cast serious doubts about the mainstream concept of whom, and what they are. In our modern society there are angels everywhere; in movies, plays, television series and documentaries, books, websites, stores, celebrations, and movements; to name a few. They are in our religions, our artwork, and our traditions. Wikipedia describes an angel as "an ethereal being found in many religions, whose duties are to assist and serve God. They typically act as messengers, as believed in the main three monotheistic religions." They are depicted as having bird-like wings, soft and beautiful features, perfect blonde hair, and lily-white skin, gentle in nature, crowned with a halo, strumming a harp, and standing on a cloud, or flying amongst the clouds. The last part; the one about flying in the clouds, may be the only thing that bears any resemblance to the truth.
       As far as we are able to determine, the standard image of how angels appear is based on the imagination of painters and sculptors, who first created the images we see throughout history. We put heavy emphasis on the word 'imagination', for such descriptions are nowhere to be found in scripture. Brilliant and sparkling, very terrible, warrior-like, and incredibly powerful is closer to the truth. Some do appear as men, but there is nothing like the angelic images we see in society found in scripture, and some are so common in appearance that they can not even be recognized as angels.
       So, how does one come to a conclusion this contradictory to the mainstream concept of angels? From scripture:

Brilliant and sparkling:
       Revelation 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
       Matthew 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
       Luke 2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
Incredibly powerful
       Psalms 103:20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
       II. Thessalonians 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels

Warrior-like:
       Isaiah 37:36 Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.
       II. Chronicles 32:21 And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria.
       Acts 12:23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
       I. Chronicles 21:15 And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Very terrible:
       Judges 13:6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name:

       And, how does one come to the conclusion that angels are not like the mainstream image? Again, there simply are no such descriptions like that in the Bible. But, what leads us to believe that the aliens associated with UFOs are the angels of the Bible?

       From the Bible, using hundreds of verses as evidence, we can determine the following:
The Gods and divine beings of the Bible travel in rapidly flying, glowing, flashing, spinning, metallic objects, which appear dark and solid, like low clouds in daylight, while brightly lit, with projected beams of light at night. These objects descend to the ground, ascend into the sky, and hover above the ground for long periods. Sounds are broadcast from them, and they exhibit power to alter the natural laws. Humans and other beings are described as ascending up into, and descending down from these objects and perception of time is altered. In many of the world's ancient writings those beings called gods commonly fly in objects with very similar descriptions to those in the Bible.

       From the historical record, the following is quite evident:

       According to prominent polling data the number of people that have seen UFOs is in the millions.

       Such overwhelming evidence is hard to ignore and, when considered logically, only one of the following conclusions can be drawn:
·  There were high tech flying vehicles in the skies of the biblical authors, under God's control; yet they left and a different group of beings flying very similar high tech vehicles took their place, with no resistance from God.
·  There were high tech flying vehicles in the skies of the biblical authors, under God's control, and other, very similar, high tech vehicles flown by a different group of beings, not under God's control, and, with no interference from God.
·  The high tech flying vehicles in the skies of the biblical authors, under God's control, are the same vehicles we now see in our modern skies and the same beings are piloting them.
       If either of the first two of these possibilities is considered, logic dictates that there are beings flying around the planet that God created and, either has no control over, or does not care to have control over. Many will immediately assert that these are the vehicles of Satan and proof of this is the great battle in the sky, specifically mentioned in the Book of the Revelation. However, this event conversely proves exactly the opposite. Here is the event as described in its entirety from scripture:
       Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. 6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
       Verses 1 - 3 describe an incredible woman who was pregnant and about to give birth.
       Verse 4 refers to a dragon, which is clearly identified as Satan in verse 9, who attempts to destroy the child about to be born.
       Verse 5 identifies the child as "who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron", clearly showing that this is Jesus, the Christ, at his birth.
       Verse 6 describes a flight into the wilderness, which corresponds to Matthew's description of the flight to Egypt of Joseph, Mary, and the infant Jesus, "And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. 14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: (Matthew 2:13-14)
       Verse 7 speaks of a war in the sky between Satan's forces and the archangel Michael. The word 'heaven' is translated from the Greek word "ouranos", pronounced oo-ran-os'; the sky. See our research "No Heaven Required" http://www.bibleufo.com/gospel3.htm.
       Verse 8 and 9 show that Satan lost this battle, and he, along with the angels that participated in the assassination attempt on Jesus, were grounded on Earth.
       Verse 12 is a warning to humanity that Satan is in a rage and will certainly exact his revenge on mankind. In the last verse of this chapter, this warning is repeated; 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

       This completely ignored scenario of what happened during the birth of Jesus clearly negates the concept that Satan is, or has been, flying around in our modern skies, at least since approximately 4 to 7 BC. The words 'any more', in the phrase "neither was their place found any more in heaven”, in verse 8 show that this condition is permanent.
       However, many persist in promoting the concept that UFOs are satanic, despite no evidence to prove it and solid evidence to contradict it. Others claim they are aggressive races of aliens from other planets bent on enslaving humanity or annihilating it altogether. One of the most popular theories is that a race of beings is coming on a planet that swings by Earth every few thousand years to enslave humanity to mine gold that powers devices, which produce the atmosphere on that roving planet. There are literally thousands of individual paradigms on how and why UFOs are a threat to mankind; all with different races and agendas.
       The government / alien conspiracy theorists promote a concept that has the aliens piloting the UFOs and conspiring with the world governments for any one, of hundreds of agendas. Other theories claim humans are food for the alien hordes; they want our babies, our women, our brains, our organs, or just the real estate we occupy. Abductions are used to prove evil intent, yet, less than 1% of all contactees report close encounters involving communication or direct contact with occupants of UFOs, and only a minority of those even claim an actual abduction; being taken "aboard". Few consider that the UFO abduction phenomenon only appeared within the last few decades and that no one has ever been able to prove conclusively that they were victims of an obtrusive or violent encounter.
       For thousands of years people, all over the world, have reported direct contact with occupants of high tech flying objects. Only since the late 19th Century has there been any consideration that they are a threat to mankind. It is not that they became more aggressive, or that they have interfered with the flow of human conduct; it is only because of media exploitation of the fear potential inherent in the unknown. Fear, violence, aggressive behavior, and kinky sexual implications, which are found in the negative abduction claims sell, and the media has sold a lot of it.
       It would be daunting task to cover all the reasons and concepts used to promote the evil alien agenda paradigm. Our concept is based on a simple logical progression. The appearance, flight characteristics, and technology of UFOs is described in the Bible and many other ancient writings. The same characteristics are used to describe UFO sightings throughout our history, right up to our modern era. And, in our modern skies, we see the same incredible high tech flying craft, with the same flight characteristics, and the same advanced technology.
       The only difference is, that in the Bible, in other ancient writings and throughout the historical record, they were clearly identified as the flying vehicles that the gods used for transportation. In our modern age they are called "unidentified flying objects", presumably piloted by aliens. Simple logic dictates that the modern UFOs are the same flying vehicles controlled by the same beings that flew them in ancient times. And, such a practical conclusion would lead to the concept that the gods and angels that were associated with the ancient record are the same beings reported in our modern age. Now they are called aliens or extraterrestrials. The difference is in name only.
       It is, perhaps, the simplicity of the reality that makes it the most logical. The concept that the grays, blues, browns, greens, insectoids, reptoids, Nordics, and endless other types of beings, which are reported by modern witnesses, are the angels, is not contradicted in the Bible. No specific descriptions of angels exist in the Bible, but it is obvious that there are many different types of angels.
It is understood that, with centuries of conditioning, the image of what angels “should” look like is firmly ingrained in the human experience. What is important to consider is that the image of angels was determined by artists and the nature of angels was taken from tradition, not scripture.
