McDonald's Drive-Through Customers Face £125 Fine for Taking too
Long to Eat
Customers of fast food chain McDonald's are used to getting their
food served up in minutes. Now, however, the firm appears to be expecting them
to eat and digest it almost just as fast. Motorists are being given a 45-minute

Excerpts from Gores Speech in Bali Concerning the Arctic:
●
I remember years ago listening to the scientists who
specialise in the study of ice and snow express concern that some time towards
the end of the 21st century we might even face the possibility of losing the
entire north polar ice cap.
●
I remember only three years ago when they revised their
estimates to say it could happen halfway through the 21st century, by 2050.
●
I remember at the beginning of this year when I was
shocked to hear them say along with others that it could happen in as little as
34 years
●
And now, this week, they tell us it could completely
disappear in as little as five to seven years.
Gore Completes Renovations to Tennessee Home

mansion, has completed a host of improvements to make the home more energy

Arctic Sea Ice Cold Melt By Summer of 2013
Melting in the Arctic is occurring faster than
most scientists predicted, according to research presented at the fall meeting
of the American Geophysical Union in San Francisco. Both Greenland and Arctic
sea ice are melting at record rates, with Greenland's ice sheet losing 19
billion more tons of ice than ever recorded and summertime Arctic sea ice volume
declining by 50 percent over the past four years
Food vs. Fuel
If people can't eat, they can't do much else. One of the great
achievements of the past century has been the enormous expansion of food
production, which has virtually eliminated starvation in advanced countries and
has made huge gains against it in poor countries. But the world food system may
now be undergoing a radical break with this past. "The end of cheap food" is how
the Economist magazine recently described it.
