The purpose of this work is to answer the charge, that all UFOs are satanic, and all UFO believers are co-conspirators in a sinister, demon inspired plot to deceive mankind.  It could easily be counter-charged that those accusers may very well be promoting and enforcing the very deception they are warning us about.
It is alleged that the deception spoken of in the Bible is directly related to the recent increase in sightings of unidentified flying objects, and the beings that occupy them.  The reasoning goes that these beings are actually demons disguised as extraterrestrials, here to gain the trust of mankind and turn the world to alien worship.
This work contains in excess of 400 verses, found in over two-thirds of the books in the Bible, that refer to the flying craft and advanced technology of the being called God.  Yhovah, in his craft, and a fleet of flying vehicles he commands are clearly described as glowing, spinning, metallic, and very swift aerial objects.  It is also clearly stated that these vehicles will be seen in the sky near the end times.  No
reference is made to this fact from the pulpit.
The proof that Satan has command of these vehicles is taken from one obscure verse, and no other corroborating references.  This verse, Ephesians 2:2, is discussed in detail
here Beyond this single verse, there is not the slightest reference to Satan having any present association with flight or the sky.  Neither Satan nor his fellow rebel angels are ever described as piloting, or possessing a flying vehicle after their defeat in their original rebellion.
There is no doubt that the deception spoken of in the Bible will be the very embodiment of evil.  The cause of evil is defined by  the disciple Timothy:

1 Timothy 6:10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Since the love of money is at the core of all evil, it is safe to assume that the greatest evil deceit ever fabricated against mankind would be directly related to money.  Could it be that the threat of losing wealth could cause the world's great powers to be deceive the entire planet?   Consider the probable  ramifications of a returning God:

Churches would be out of business, preachers would lose power and their lucrative positions.
Science would have all the answers and would no longer be needed to look for them.
Education would be changed dramatically and it's power over information would end.
The military would have nothing to protect and their reason for existence, war, would dissolve.
Government and politics would come to a halt.
Banks and financial institutions would be holding worthless assets.
Business would have to be honest and fair, a certain disagreeable prospect for them.
Monetary wealth would end.  The rich would face being equal with the poor.

It is easy to see, that even if the powers in control knew Jesus was returning, they would do everything in their power to prevent it.  This is why they will convince the world to fight against the returning Christ.  It will either be that, or loss of power and wealth for all.  And the Antichrist will be the champion of protecting the powerful and wealthy.  In a movie about another great deception, one of the central characters tells an investigator looking for the source of a government cover up to "follow the money".  That would seem to be good advice when looking for the source of almost any deception.

Neither the phrase “Great Deception” nor the word “deception” appears in the Bible. The word deceive does, and those relevant verses are presented here:

Matthew 24:24  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  25  Behold, I have told you before.  26  Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

The admonition is to beware of those who say Jesus is on the ground, or hidden away.  There is no mention here to doubting those who say Jesus is in the air.

27  For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

This clearly says that Jesus will travel swiftly and brightly in the sky.

30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

The word heaven in this verse means sky.  Here it says that the bright and spectacular appearance of the fleet of Yhovah in the sky will be a sign of his coming.  No mention of any alternate deception by Satan is found.

Mark 13:5  And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:    For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

It must be emphasized, what is actually being said.  Jesus is saying that many would come claiming his authority and declaring that he, Jesus, was the Christ.  Many attempt to incorrectly imply that these deceivers are saying that they are the Christ, but this is a deception itself.  He is saying that the use of his sacrifice will actually be used to perpetuate the deception he is warning mankind about.  This quite literally qualifies almost every religion using the Bible.  Only the Antichrist claims to be Christ and nothing is said about him being and alien.  He is in fact a human. And it is obvious that the deceivers are using accepted religious beliefs to disguise their true intent, not alien chicanery.

Romans 16:18  For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

A warning that plausible concepts and moving presentation is not a sign of sincerity.

1 Corinthians 3:18  Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

Thinking that one is well read and knowledgeable about the world in itself can be deceptive.

2 Thessalonians 2:3  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The Antichrist will come at a time when the world is not aware of the truth.  This person will actually have the world convinced he is the human representation of God and be allowed to establish himself in the temple of Yhovah.  This could obviously not happen without the support of the world's religious leadership or the consent of those in power at all levels of society.  It is not likely that these very leaders who decry the evil of the extraterrestrial deceivers would allow an extra terrestrial sympathizer to have that power.  It is more likely that this leader will be very much in conformity with their point of view.

Revelations 18 23  And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

This is the connection between big business and the deception that will cause mankind to fight his own creator.

There are no warnings that anything other than greed and lust for power are behind the deception of mankind.  No warnings about an alien race or any other outside influences being involved.  The only admonition to watch the skies for anything is the declaration that that is where the returning Christ will first appear.  Why do religious leaders claim Satan is to be found there? Who is really behind the deception?
