The actual number of people being fed for 40 years of time during the Exodus
ranges from 1 to 2 million. The story of Manna begins when the after about a
month and a half of travel the supply of food began to run out, and they begin to
think that Moses and Aaron had taken them into the wilderness to starve
them. Yhovah told Moses he would remedy the situation by providing food. As
Aaron was telling the people of the pending divine supply program, a vehicle
appears a great
number and quail literally flew into the camp. The next morning a white
bread-like substance covered the ground around the camp. This substance tasted
like bread made with honey and there was enough to provide each of the million
plus travelers with about a half-gallon of the substance per day. This routine
of meat in the evening and manna in the morning continued for forty years. This required the constant production of up to a million gallons of manna per
day or a total of over 15 billion gallons during the length of the odyssey.
Sustenance
From The Sky ·Exodus 16:4
Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven
for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that
I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no. This is the
introduction of manna and it originates from the sky. It should be remembered
that the flying craft is also in the sky. In Psalms 78:23-25,
the clouds are specifically mentioned as being involved with this unusual
feeding project that went on for years. Whatever this substance is it is able to
sustain a large nomadic group for four decades.
Bread From
The Sky ·Nehemiah
9:15And gavest them bread from heaven
for their hunger, and broughtest forth water for them out of the rock for their
thirst, and promisedst them that they should go in to possess the land which
thou hadst sworn to give them. This is a
reference to manna from the sky.
Strong Food
From The Sky ·Psalms
78:23
Though he had commanded the clouds
from above, and opened the doors of heaven, 24 And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given
them of the corn of heaven. 25 Man did eat angels'
food: he sent them meat to the full. From the sky he rained a
strange grain that was strong food. Angel
is taken from the word 'abbiyr' which means strong.
Bread From
The Sky ·Psalms 105:40 The people asked, and he brought quails,
and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. This is a
reference to manna. Regenerating Food Food stores are extended. ·1 Kings 17:15
And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her
house, did eat many days. 16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the
cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.
Oil Regeneration Oil pot produces an abundance. ·2 Kings 4:1
Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto
Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy
servant did fear the Lord: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons
to be bondmen. 2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me,
what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in
the house, save a pot of oil. 3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of
all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. 4 And when thou art
come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour
out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. 5 So
she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the
vessels to her; and she poured out. 6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were
full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her,
There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. 7 Then she came and told the man
of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy
children of the rest.
Food Purification Elisha purifies a pot of food. ·2 Kings 4:40
So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating
of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death
in the pot. And they could not eat thereof. 41 But he said, Then bring meal. And
he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may
eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
Food Regeneration Elisha extends a small amount of food to feed a hundred with an excess
left over. ·2 Kings 4:42 And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and
brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and
full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that
they may eat. 43 And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an
hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith
the Lord, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof. 44 So he set it before them,
and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the Lord.
Water Into Wine Jesus turns water into fine wine. ·John 2:7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots
with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he saith unto them, Draw
out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. 9 When the
ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence
it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast
called the bridegroom, 10. And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth
set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but
thou hast kept the good wine until now.
Feeding Five Thousand Jesus feeds more than five thousand with two fish and five loaves of bread
with an excess left over. ·Matthew 14:15
And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert
place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into
the villages, and buy themselves victuals. 16 But Jesus said unto them, They
need not depart; give ye them to eat. 17 And they say unto him, We have here but
five loaves, and two fishes. 18 He said, Bring them hither to me. 19 And he
commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and
the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the
loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 20 And they did all
eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve
baskets full. 21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside
women and children.
Feeding Four Thousand Jesus feeds more than four thousand with a few fish and seven loaves of
bread with left overs. ·Matthew 15:32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and
said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now
three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest
they faint in the way. 33 And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have
so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude? 34 And Jesus
saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little
fishes. 35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. 36 And he
took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave
to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. 37 And they did all eat,
and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets
full. 38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and
children.
